FEMA is legally prohibited from duplicating assistance received from other sources. This means that if you receive funds designated for specific needs-such as home repairs -from another source like insurance or a crowdfunding campaign, FEMA will NOT provide additional funds for the same purpose. However, receiving general donations that are not earmarked for specific expenses may not affect your FEMA eligibility.
