This item is an Original Hand-Pulled Linocut titled "Midnight on the water" (after the Kate Wolf record I listened to daily while creating the work) featuring: Red Throated Loon, Greater Yellowlegs, Bald Eagle, Acteniceromorphus volitans, White Bog Orchid, Common Silverweed, American Lyme Grass, Deer Fern, Douglas Aster, Western Bunchberry, Deer-Cabbage, Moss-Heather, and Stream Violet.
Hand-drawn, carved, and printed during a two week, remote, artist residency in partnership with the Sitka Conservation Society at Sea Pony Farm, along the Lisianski Inlet, on Chichagof Island, within the Tongass National Forest of Southeastern Alaska. Inspired by flora and fauna witnessed while boating and hiking through the local landscape. Printed on a No.3 Vandercook Proof Press; part of the first series of hand-carved editions pulled off the press since its late owner, Eric Bealer. Limited edition, never to be reprinted.
